Learn to be a Coupon Queen and save TONS of money...just like me
Hi! Welcome to my homepage! My name is Jennifer Henry. I am a mother of 2 and work full time as a travel agent for an emergency travel assistance agency. I was recently featured on our local ABC station's 10 p.m. news when I took one of their reporters on a grocery shopping trip. We saved over $170 on that trip...bringing a $246 bill down to $74. However, that trip was not my personal best. I was trying to keep the story realistic so that anyone watching it would feel that they could save alot of money too. My best shopping trip saw a total bill of $225 drop to under $13. I have also brought total bills of about $100 down to under $1. All of the groceries I bought were name brand products too. Many of these trips included buying expensive items like diapers, infant formula, soft drinks, cat liter, meat, cheese and more. Shopping trips like these aren't "once-in-a-life-time" for me...they happen all the time. But it wasn't always like this for me. I began using coupons 10 years ago when I got married because I married for love...not money. We were didn't make much money then so I had to find a way to make our budget go farther. When I first started using coupons I saved anywhere from $10 to $15 every time I went to the store. I was really proud of myself. Then, I happened to order a coupon holder from Hanna Hanson and it totally changed my life. The coupon holder came with a sample issue of a magazine called Refunding Makes Cents. I really liked the articles I read and decided to subscribe to the magazine. In it, I read stories of people who literally bought hundreds of dollars worth of groceries for pennies. Alot of people did this...it amazed me. I knew that if they could do this then I could too. I started learning about all the different tools they used to save money. I've developed this page to help you learn how to be a Coupon Queen too. The steps are easy...following them just takes dedication. Follow them, and in no time at all, you'll be a Coupon Queen...just like me! . Find a grocery store nearby that doubles and/or triples coupons . Find out if your grocery store matches competitor's prices . Watch for sales and use coupons on those items to maximize your savings . Use the internet to find coupons, information and free things . Find sources other than the Sunday paper for your coupons . Stockpile groceries . Get organized (this one really helps you save time too) . Use refunds/rebates on products . Really cool links for saving money!!!
Below are links to some really great sites. The first link is to a service that offers coupons. I have been using this service for several months now and have been extremely pleased. The service is called GroceryCard. It is run by the same people who run CentsOff (details about them are below). They are absolutely wonderful! They do not actually sell coupons. They offer a service that clips them for you. All you do is order your coupons through their website...you get a $50 face value of coupons for a flat fee. This is great for anyone who has double and/or triple coupons! Actually, anyone who prefers coupons with a value of under $1 will benefit from this service. One of the best things about the service is that you can order as many of the same coupons as you want...up to your $50 face value (as long as they have that many...but you'll know before you order how many of each coupon they have). The next best thing is that they send them out to you very quickly and they come already clipped! You can purchase your GroceryCard from a distributor...the link to the one I use is below. They sell the GroceryCard for $9.95 (reg. $14.95). You don't even have to give out your credit card over the internet. You simply mail your payment to them and they e-mail the access code for your GroceryCard to you once they receive it. Once you have your access code, you are free to order your coupons. It does take a little time to get it started (having to mail in your payment and wait for them to receive it), but once you have tried the service and decide that you like it, you can set it up so that you always have a GroceryCard at your disposal. I always buy 2 at a time...that way I can use one when I get the access codes and save the other one for the next time there's a really great sale starting and I need extra coupons. If I order my coupons the day of a sale, I normally have them well before the end of the sale. And...the moment I use the 2nd GroceryCard access code, I simply mail in my payment for the next two. If I sound a tad bit excited about this service, I am. It has really helped me to save alot of money and time. I no longer have to clip coupons if I don't want to. And...I don't have to buy a Sunday paper anymore. All the coupons I want (and usually the values I want...not just the values in my local paper) and already clipped! The next link is to another coupon site called CentsOff. I have used this service for almost a year and have always been very happy with them. The service does not actually sell coupons. They offer a service that clips coupons. The fee you pay is for the actual clipping of the coupon. They charge $5 plus shipping (normally 40 for each 50) for every 50 coupons you order (Keep in mind that I don't set their prices...this is what I've been paying for them myself. Their prices are subject to change without notice). This is really great for 2 reasons. The first is that you don't have to spend your time clipping coupons. The second is that they have a variety of coupons...you only order the ones you want. You know what you're getting when you order them and you know what the face value of the coupon is. They tell you how many of each coupon they have and in most cases, you can order as many of that particular coupon as you want. Another really great thing about this service is that the coupons they clip come from all over the US. They get their coupons from many different cities...which means that the values are sometimes different than the values you may normally get. For example...in Houston, we get a coupon for 55 off of cereal. In San Antonio where they don't have as many...if any at all...of the double and triple coupon stores that we have, they may offer a 40 or 50 on the same cereal. Those are obviously better for us since they will double or triple. Now...there is a yearly membership fee at CentsOff of $5...but if you use the link below and advise them of referral code: J0057H98 you will receive a 40% discount on that fee. The last link below is to ValuPage. This is a really great site because it offers you coupons called "Web Bucks" good off of your next shopping order (which means you can use them on anything (excluding alcoholic beverages) the next time you shop. The way the program works is you print out their "ValuPage" before you go shopping. The cashier scans the page and if you have purchased an item or items listed on the page you get the corresponding Web Bucks for use the next time you shop. These really help because there are alot of items you buy that you would not normally have coupons for (ie. milk, bread, etc.).
